Debbie Wilkes, Executive Assistant to the President

Debbie Wilkes is the Executive Assistant to the National Partnership’s President. In this position, Wilkes serves as the primary liaison for the President to the National Partnership’s Board of Directors as well as to the many consumer organization boards the National Partnership is represented on. She also assists in staff management and supervision of organizational projects.

Before joining the National Partnership, Wilkes was the Executive Suite Supervisor and Scheduler for Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) from 1998-2001. Prior to joining Senator Mikulski’s staff, she worked in the Chief of Staff’s office of U.S. Trade Representative Charlene Barshefsky from 1996-1998.

Wilkes earned her Masters degree from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University in International Trade and Investment Policy. She also holds a dual degree in International Relations and Newspaper Journalism from Syracuse University. Wilkes lives in Falls Church, Virginia, with her husband and two children.
